Hiroshima: JapaneseKakejiku (HangingScroll) MakingExperience

Create your own original Japanese hanging scroll in Hiroshima. Write beautiful Japanese characters on a traditional hanging scroll and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Your experience begins with a short introduction to kakejiku (Japanese hanging scrolls) and Japanese calligraphy. Your instructor will guide you through the basics of holding the brush and using ink in a simple, beginner-friendly way. First, you will practice basic brush strokes and the Japanese characters you would like to write. Once you feel comfortable, you will write your final calligraphy on a traditional hanging scroll to create your own unique artwork. No previous calligraphy experience is required. The workshop is suitable for both adults and children. The workshop takes place in a calm and relaxing studio in central Hiroshima, making it a perfect cultural activity during your trip.
