Hiroshima best things to do and what to see
Local interview notes
Miyajima Aquarium, established in 1959 as the Hiroshima Prefectural Fisheries Research Institute, is an aquarium where families can enjoy the rich marine life of the Seto Inland Sea, including a giant tank that recreates the sea, penguin and dolphin shows. In 2011, the aquarium underwent a complete renovation and refreshed its exhibits to enable a deeper understanding of the nature and creatures of the Seto Inland Sea. The aquarium houses approximately 350 species and 10,000 or more creatures, and the large fish species that inhabit the Seto Inland Sea, such as sharks, rays, and sea turtles, are particularly impressive. Penguin and dolphin shows are also popular and enjoyable for both children and adults. Miyajima Aquarium is a must-visit spot for Hiroshima tourism, where you can rediscover the charm of the Seto Inland Sea.For details and inquiries, please click the link below.
